Why does a donation kiosk cost so much?
Donation kiosks from providers like Masjidal and Mohid can come with a significant price tag. That may reflect more than the screen itself: the hardware, payment setup, software, installation, and ongoing support can all contribute to the cost. So the price may make sense from the provider’s point of view. But that still leaves an important question for a masjid: is buying dedicated hardware the wisest choice?
A kiosk can make giving easier, but it can also tie a masjid to one provider’s closed system. If the hardware only works with that provider’s software, switching later—or choosing a different model—may be difficult or expensive.
